Korean Pork Skewers

This recipe became our family’s favourite from the moment it has appeared in Tesco’s freebie magazine. Easy to cook + amazing flavours marinade + simply yummy and colourful! What’s not to like with this recipe? Perhaps the cleaning of the grill afterwards… 🙂

Instructions
  1. Prepare the marinade by combining the soy sauce, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, ginger and 2 tbsp of water. Use a large bowl and mix well.
  2. Add the pork chunks to the marinade, turn to coat, then cover the bowl with a clingfilm and chill in the refrigerator for at least 1-2 hours.
  3. Thread the pork and peppers on to 6 large skewers, alternating between each. Brush with a little olive oil.
  4. Barbeque for 8-9 minutes, turning occasionally, until cooked through.
Recipe Notes

If you are using wooden skewers, soak them for a couple of hours in water to prevent burning while bbq-ing.

You can add onions or tomatoes to the skewers or use any vegetable you wish to bbq with your marinated pork. Improvise!

The skewers cool down quite quickly, so gather the crowd at the table first before serving them straight from the grill.
